I am adding this new page called "So Hungry Right Now." I like to write lengthy posts on restaurant experiences, but sometimes I just grab a bite to eat, without much thought. Check this page periodically to see where I grab a bite and fill those hunger needs.
February 20, 2012: It is 10:45 a.m. I have a dinner reservation at 5 p.m. That is only 6 hours away! I have an early dinner at Little Owl because it is so hard to get a reservation there that 5 p.m. was the only availability. It is a holiday, so Alex and I have the day off together and thought we could swing an early day. I am trying to manage my eating schedule so that I go to dinner hungry. The plan is to eat a bowl of cereal (done), go to the gym, and then have some yogurt. After that, I let the hunger build!
One night at work (I work in a restaurant), these guests had a 10 p.m. reservation. It was restaurant week and they could only get a 10 p.m. reservation. They sat down and they were so excited. When the bread was brought to their table, one girl said "I am so excited for the bread. It is like I have never eaten before." Her delivery made me chuckle a bit, so the guests laughed too. The girl said to me "we have been waiting all night for this dinner, so we have not eaten since lunch. We are starving!"
I have the same problem sometimes, except my reservation is insanely early instead of super late. Luckily, my fridge contains eggs, yogurt, peanut butter, 2 bottles of wine, and parmesan cheese. My resources are limited.
The minimal eating until Little Owl starts now!
