I spent the day in Brooklyn yesterday. I enjoy my Sundays in Brooklyn with Brooklyn friends, outdoor space, and adorable restaurants.
I met up with my favorite sisters, the Jacksons, on Sunday for a little brunch at Miranda, in Williamsburg. I originally heard about Miranda through a PR friend, and shared Miranda events on this blog with all of you. I decided to finally check it out for myself this weekend.
Miranda is located on the corner of Berry Street and N. 9th street. The restaurant is hopelessly adorable! It is quaint and very well put together, with a small bar and randomly placed tables. We sat along with windowsill, with a nice breeze hitting us.
Brunch dishes range from $8-$13 dollars, with a must have $7 bread basket to start. The bread basket consisted of empanadas, muffins, and scones. There were 8 total, so more than enough for a table. The coffee is served in a cup and saucer, fancy enough for tea with the queen.
I ordered the Torta de Pollo, a chipotle-braised chicken sandwich, with avocado and mozzarella. It came with a side salad. This is the first time that I was totally satisfied with the sandwich and salad and did not yearn for potatoes. I usually like brunch dishes to have three solid components, but the endless coffee and tasty bread basket more than make up for the lack of potatoes.
Miranda is a true gem, with great food and a lovely atmosphere. I highly recommend it.
My day in Brooklyn did not end with brunch though. More tomorrow!
Have a delicious day!

I shouldn't have read this before eating breakfast...that bread basket sounds delicious! I will definitely have to check that out soon.
