Summer Streets

Summer is winding down, which is sad.  But it is still so nice outside, so I want to take advantage until the very last moment.

One of my favorite things about walking around the city in the summer, other than the beautiful sun and absence of snow, is the smell of food.  I recently noticed that in the summer, the smell of food is EVERYWHERE.  Restaurant doors are open.  Diners are sitting outside eating juicy hamburgers, delicate mussels, or drinking flavorful lemonade.  As you walk, you get to smell so much goodness, that it makes you want to spend the entire afternoon sitting outside, drinking wine, eating bruschetta, and people watching.  Well, that is how I feel at least.

When you leave your office today, walk around with your nose open.  And follow it to wherever it wants to go.  Leave menupages.com behind for a day and let your nose choose a restaurant.

As for me, I have an afternoon date with a friend at Phileo Yogurt (fka Yogurtland).  Self-serve yogurt and toppings is the perfect way to spend a day of sunshine.  You get exactly what you want, and a lot of it.

Have a delicious day!
